Nuevo box set de David Bowie

Parlophone Records anuncia la venta de mercancía exclusiva e inédita de los días de Bowie durante los 80.

Este jueves, Parlophone Records ha anunciado que se pondrá a la venta un box set que recopila el trabajo de David Bowie durante los 80. Con un contenido de 15 discos de vinilo, 11 CDs y un libro, Loving The Alien (1983-1988) se une a los retrospective box sets de Five Years (1969-1973), Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976) y New Career In A New Town (1977-1982).

La colección reúne tres álbumes de estudio (Let's Dance, Tonight, Never Let Me Down), los vinilos de Serious Moonlight (Live 83') y Glass Spider (Live Montreal '87) y la colaboración del círculo creativo de Bowie: Mario McNulty, Reeves Gabriel, Sterling Campbell, Tim Lefebvre, Nico Muhly y Laurie Anderson.

They’ll have the first radio play of the already streaming Zeroes (2018, Radio Edit), and a little pink monkey bird suggests they may also have contributions from two men involved with the creation of Never Let Me Down 2018: Bowie producer/engineer @mariojmcnulty and guitar mentalist, @reevesgabrels, the most handsome double act since Keaveny and Everitt. Además del material producido en Electric Lady Studios, los demos y B sides de Labyrinth, The Falcon And The Snowman, Absolute Beginners y When the Wind Blows –que aparecerán bajo el nombre de Re: Call 4–, así como un libro con fotografías no publicadas, recursos periodísticos y notas de Nile Rodgers, Hugh Pudgham y Justin Shirley-Smith, describen a Loving The Alien (1983-1988) como una mercancía exclusiva e inédita.

Los planes para la compilación de 12 remixes contemporáneos de "Let's Dance" (Billboard rescató la mezcla de InFiction en 2014), la nueva versión de "Never Let Me Down" y la voz de Laurie Anderson en "Shining Star (Makin’ My Love)" se remontan a 2008. Durante las fechas en las que The Guardian daba a conocer acerca de BOWIE –CD que se presentaba como una colección con sus grandes éxitos–, el intérprete de "Sorrow" se reunía en Nueva York con Mario McNulty para el remix de "Time Will Crawl".
