Se anuncia box set de Tom Petty

Tendremos grabaciones inéditas en el nuevo material de Tom Petty.
Pronto será el primer aniversario luctuoso del cantante de Florida, uno de los músicos más aclamados por el público estadounidense, y para recordarlo, saldrá un box set especial que abarcará desde sus inicios con The Heartbreakers hasta sus últimas grabaciones.
El material que saldrá para honrar a Tom Petty llevará el nombre de An American Treasure, y estará compuesto por una selección de 60 canciones, que fueron escogidas por la hija y esposa del artista: Adria y Dana; así como por los integrantes de su banda: Mike Campbell y Benmont Tench. Toda la remasterización estuvo a cargo del ingeniero Ryan Ulate.
Se sabe que la fecha de lanzamiento será el próximo 28 de septiembre a través de Reprise Records, sello discográfico que fundó Frank Sinatra a principios de la década de los sesenta.
Entre las seis decenas de canciones del box set, se encuentran múltiples grabaciones inéditas, versiones alternativas de canciones clásicas, rarezas, actuaciones históricas en vivo y pistas que resaltan la notable profundidad y evolución de Tom Petty como compositor e intérprete. Este será el primer el primer lanzamiento bajo el nombre de Tom luego de su trágico fallecimiento del artista en octubre de 2017.
